Tom Beckerman

Founder & Executive Chairman

Tom is a seasoned technology veteran, with over 35 years of experience in senior leadership roles. Mr. Beckerman is currently focused on the strategic development and marketing of new high growth technology platforms and services for mobile, video, secure ID, voice, blockchain, artificial intelligence, payments and augmented reality.

Prior to founding Prodigy Ventures, Mr. Beckerman played instrumental roles in the development and success of seven other technology, marketing services, financial information and medical device companies. He has created unique technologies and worked with Fortune 1000 companies. Mr. Beckerman holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as well as a patent in secure communications technology. Tom is also an Ironman triathlete with a strong interest in health and fitness technologies.

Jeff Watts

CEO

Jeff Watts is a seasoned Canadian technology leader with a proven track record of success in scaling technology businesses. He brings to Prodigy over 25 years of global experience in direct sales, channels, marketing, and both business and corporate development. This spans large enterprises such as SAP, Xerox and 3Com, running business lines of $300M+, and startups such as Quack.com (acquired by AOL). Jeff’s ability to focus sales execution and to capitalize on market opportunities is well recognized. Having recently completed an assignment as Chief Revenue Officer for a global SAP partner, he brings a unique perspective and skill set to Prodigy. Jeff also serves on several boards in various capacities, including Valucap Investments Inc., where he is the CEO. In these capacities, he has contributed to several successful exits, most recently Locationary (acquired by Apple Corp., 2014) and Elliptic Technologies (acquired by Synopys Inc., 2015).

Andrew Hilton

CFO

Andrew Hilton has provided CFO and corporate secretarial services for a number of public and private companies since 2005 including his role as Chief Financial Officer of Fountain Asset Corp. (TSXV: FA) from 2010 – 2012. Mr. Hilton is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds an Honours BA in Economics and Financial Management from Wilfrid Laurier University.

George Colwell

Vice President, Digital Transformation

George’s career has concentrated on enterprise process engineering and value realization through the transformation of people and process, enabled by technology solutions. Focused primarily on leading global financial services companies, George brings a unique global perspective on digital transformation to Prodigy Labs. A perspective acquired while leading large enterprise transformations in North, Central and South America. George is an expert at bridging the gap between business strategy and technology execution for both enterprise executives and technologists alike. George continues to foster his entrepreneurial spirit by maintaining board positions and advisory roles with innovative startups in the fields of fintech, logistics, visual search, blockchain and voice-first applications brining the best of leading-edge technologies and agile delivery practices back to Prodigy Labs’ Transformation Advisory and our clients.

Kirk Fergusson

Vice President, Business Development

Kirk is the Vice President, Business Development with Prodigy Labs. With more than 30 years of experience in marketing, healthcare and information technology, Kirk is a versatile business leader with extensive experience in business development/account management, consultative/ strategic sales, as well as all aspects of marketing and corporate communications. Prior to joining Prodigy in 2019, Kirk led marketing and business development efforts for a blockchain start-up. Before that, Kirk was Managing Director for MDBriefCase, Canada’s leading digital medical education firm. Kirk has also held executive positions in the authentication and identity space as well as within the health informatics industry. Kirk possesses a BA degree (Waterloo) as well as an MBA degree from the Ivey School of Business (Western).

Jamie Rodgers

Vice President, Insurance

Jamie Rodgers is Vice President and Head of Insurance at Prodigy Labs, based in Toronto. With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industries, Jamie has worked for Life and P&C insurance carriers and with organizations such as Gartner, CGI, IBM, PwC and BearingPoint that deliver services and solutions to them. Prior to joining Prodigy Labs in 2019, Mr. Rodgers was the Chief Data Officer at Empire Life. Jamie holds a B.A. in Economics and a M.Sc. in Information Management.

Natalie Mohammed

Head of Human Resources

Natalie Mohammed is an experienced Human Resources leader with an impressive history of success in the information technology and services industry. Ms. Mohammed was recognized as one of the Top 25 Human Resources Professionals in Canada in 2017, and as a Rising Star by HRDC in 2018. She is one of the next generation of great leaders and innovators in Human Resources. Ms. Mohammed is a Certified Human Resources Professional and also holds an international Professional in Human Resources designation from the HR Certificate Institute.
